Inspiration can come in any form.
As one of the youngest of eight kids, little Cyrus Williams use to watch Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom every Sunday evening with his father just so he could spend one-on-one time with him. And a fascination with wildlife was born.
First envisioned in 1992, what is now EcEdEx had been more of a dream than a company. There was a belief to make wildlife relevant to teens and young adults, but for years there was no real means to make it happen. So, Cyrus learned more about wildlife, talked to people about endangered species and studied concepts seemingly unrelated to animals. By 2004 — yes, twelve years later — he understood that LIVE WILD needed a website, but had absolutely no clue whatsoever on how to make it happen. So, there was something else to try and understand.
LIVEWILD.COM is a combination of first efforts, created and re-designed to become your first stop for endangered species and wildlife information that is easy to find. There is a great deal more envisioned, though. More endeavors. More clothing options. Just more, period.
By offering information, increasing awareness, interacting and donating to help wildlife, EcEdEx hopes to inspire.
And this is only the beginning.
